I found this article, yet again in Swedish, about how Apple loses their right to the name "iPhone" in Brazil. This because a local company registered the name "iPhone" in 2000, several years before Apple came out with the first iPhone. The Brazilian company did not come out with a Smartphone (Android based) till December last year.
What does this really do to the brand name "iPhone" (Apple) in Brazil?

Makes one wonder what Apple will do to counter the issue. My suspicion is that the company holding the rights to the iphone name want a big settlement. I can't believe they have any use for the name themselves...
